There isn't a good conversion guide that I know of. I have runa lot of 3.0 and 3.5 D&D
modules in HARP and found the conversion is not too difficult.

Generally, I just substitute the HARP monster for the D&D monster - with a few
exceptions. The most notable are orcs - 1 HD monsters in D&D, but 6 HD monsters in
HARP. In cases where there isn't an equivalent HARP monster, or they aren't close in
ability (like the orc), I just use a similar monster.

In those cases where I have created a new monster for HARP, it isn't too difficult to just
make up the stats - I don't worry too much about being completely balanced.

As for skill checks, I set DC 20 to be medium, and for every 4 up or down in the DC,
change the HARP difficulty.

Something to be aware of - low-level HARP characters are generally tougher than low-
level D&D characters, so don't be afraid to toughen up the monsters a bit. HARP and
D&D characters seem to be roughly equivalent in the middle range (8-14), but after that
D&D characters pull away in power levels (and magical equipment), so if you're running
high-level adventures you may need to boost the party or cut back on some monsters.
